yahoo user need help to clarify doubt about: : What’s wrong with my vacuum?
The other day I accidental vacuumed up a small piece of cloth, I got it all out, but now when I turn the vacuum on its rumbling VERY loud and kinda smoking from the bottom, I cleaned it, the belt looks fine, I cant SEE any problems even though I got it all out its still rumbling and smokey like its gonna blow, what could be wrong with it??

If it helps the vacuum is a Windtunnel Model # UH70140

The cloth could have gotten the belt or the beater bars off track. Or shifted a cover plate out of alignment and it could be rubbing on something. Check everything very thouorghly.

  1. You still have some cloth stuck in the beater bar area and the belt is probably slipping on the bar. You will need a new belt and probably some oil on the bearings at the end of the bar. Use oil not WD40. If this does not solve the problem take the machine to the local service center for an adjustment.
