A Roomba. It does the work so you don’t have toooooo.
Seriously, the Roomba’s really do a nice job day in and day out. Also can program to do the vacuuming while you are out.
Hoovers have maintained their quality and durability over the years.

A bagless one. I have a little Eureka Optima–it’s green like Kermit the frog. I like it better than my Electrolux and my Oreck. I do dump the dirt every time I use it, and scrape out the filter with a plastic dinner fork. Lightweight, good suction, easy to use; what else matters?
Kirby is the best I have used. Don’t know about these new things. Find a Kirby and compare.
they are all basically the same, so I’d say the one that gets the job done for the least amount of moolah.
