I am looking to spend between $ 150 to $ 250, but would be willing to go a bit higher. I have 2 cats, so I need something effective with pet hair. I have stairs to vacuum. Therefore, I am looking for a vacuum that is easy to manage on stairs. It seems like I am replacing vacuums quite often, so something durable would also be great. I have heard good things about Dyson vacuums, but I don’t know if I want to spend that much. Any suggestions?

get the lightest vac you can, as going up and down the stairs is heavy work, the bigger the motor the better it sucks up the dirt and dust
