If your vacuum has stopped the self propel feature, you may want to check if there is something stuck in the wheels. If there isn’t anything, pay attention to the sounds and smells that you notice while using the vacuum. That thing actually has a transmission in it and the gears could have bound up or broke. The module in the transmission could have even given out.

  1. have you check the drive belt,look in your manuel it should show you how to check it,if you dont have a manuel go to hoover’s web page and ask them.
