Hoover’s HEPA Filter Does Not Work

16

Hoover claims they have a LIFETIME self-cleaning HEPA filter system in their WindTunnel 2 Extra Reach Bagless Upright vacuum. Here is the line from thier website… “Self-cleaning HEPA filter cleans itself every six seconds to maintain cleaning power. You never have to touch or replace the filter.” I beg to differ. This is the 3rd cleaning I’ve had to do manually in less than a year. UPDATE: 3 days after I posted this video and called back in to Hoover, they replaced this unit with an alternative. The Hoover Service Center (where I needed to go to make the exchange) seemed to be familiar with this problem and sent me on my way with a brand new Dirt Devil vacuum with no muss or fuss. HOOVER HAS GOOD CUSTOMER SUPPORT in my book, given my experience.

  1. i have read many complaints on how the “self cleaning filter” stpped doing that. that just goes to show you that hoover’s are not what they used to be.

  2. The Windtunnel 2 is horrible. Original Windtunnel with the bag is the best Hoover of late.

  3. I fix these vacuums for a living and u are sooooooooooooo right i get those machines in more than any other machine in the biz, but Hoover is still a good brand just go for the Windtunnel Supreme great machine at a great price……….Remember always go for a bagged machine not bagless.

  4. I just finished doing the SAME thing for the second time since I have owned this piece of junk! Don’t buy this model!!

  5. i bought this piece of crap when i bought it the filter didnt work the embedid dirt didnt work and i every time i see dirt on the floor it picks it up but doesnt put it in the dirt cup so dont get that vacuum!!!

  6. I glad you you pointed that out to me, Now I know not to buy one, Actaully I think the original bagged hoover windtunnel, or the retro style eureka sanitaire are the best
