Hoover WindTunnel V2 Upright vacuum Model U8132-900

This was rescued moments away from being in a dumpster by a good bud of mine. One of the 4 brushrolls was jammed so I removed all 4 brushes and thouroughly cleaned and greased the ends then reassembled. Also had to blow out the filters and change the headlight. With the exception of missing most of it’s attachments it’s a nice machine. 12 amp 2 motor system with an incredible cleaning effectiveness of 29! I may give it back. Watcha guys think?

  1. @OrecksRule223 Isn’t it? It really works well. You can feel the torque of those brushes on the floor. However the unit is hard to push and could use the self-propel system.

  2. personally i would ask if he wants it back if he says no then u can keep it. I did that with a power head my neighbor was gonna throw away off a kenmore canister so i wanted to see if she wanted it back b4 i kept it and she did i also made $5 from her as well.

  3. @cjh1618 Isn’t it cool? This one might be going back to the owner but I was thrift shopping yesterday when I found my Singer System and saw another V2 just like this one. I might be going back for it!

  4. I wished Hoover sold this vacuum again. This particular unit doesn’t require belts on it, but does a fantastic job than some of the new Hoovers sold currently. This is probably better than the gold Windtunnel Convertible 100th Anniversary Edition (not the old cloth bag Convertibles from the 1950 to the 1980s). Hoover could have made some changes with this vacuum, such as making the brushroll switch on the handle and so forth, instead of discontinuing it.

  5. @theballinmaster Yeah the 2 brushes seemed like a good idea. I wasnt sure if it had a belt or not. I guess some kind of direct drive gearing system. Has lots of torque from the brushes.
