Hoover Windtunnel U6433-900?

Hoover Windtunnel U6433-900 When I opened up the bottom plate of the vacuum cleaner and noted that the flat belt was broken. But also a nut fell out – I think it goes to the motor pulley (The black spool that holds both bells). The rod moves back and forth is this right? I put the nut back on to the screw. But the rod does not seem to engage with the self propelled part. Did the rod brake?

  1. I remember we bought that same model. If the belt was already broke and it appeared like that I would take it back and request a new one. Then on the instructions that come with it to put it together will seem easier to follow if it is packaged better. I bet you have one that was already bought and brought back. Bring it back to the store you bought it and tell them it has broken pieces and you don’t want it. Why start out with trouble on a new vacuum?
