    My vacuum became clogged with my long hair, and melted the belt. This one installed in minutes, and got me back to vacuuming. If you need a replacement belt, this will work adequately.

    ORIGINAL REVIEW (2 STARS): I triple checked the part number, I definitely ordered the correct belt. I was able to vacuum 1/4 of a room before the belt snapped. It arrived without tips or instructions, so perhaps I was supposed to stretch it out, or heat it up, or wait 30 minutes before going back in the pool? Did I put it into the vacuum cleaner properly? Yes, it’s not overly complicated to slide a loop around the brush and the little rod that sticks out from the motor. I also cleaned the brush and all of the hoses/ducts before using the vacuum with the new belt installed. I’m thinking perhaps it needs to sit stretched out a bit for a couple days so the tension isn’t as high when operating it. I’m not sure. I’ll order another one and report back.

    UPDATE: (FOUR STARS) I got another belt and used it to vacuum the whole house without issue. I’ve only used it twice so far, so I’m not sure how long it will last, but this time I let it sit at room temperature for a while, and stretched it out a few times with my arms before installing it. It is a genuine hoover part. Not sure what the issue with the first item was, but the second one was fine.
