  1. only reason its hotter is because the air flow is being restricted and not enough is flowing thru to cool it.
    if you have been vacuuming fine particle material such as kitty litter or similar the filters are probably plugged even though the may look clean.
    try shaking and banging the filters and see if you can knock a bunch of dust out of them before you replace them.

  2. The air is having trouble getting out of the unit as fast as usual. check all the filters, and the bag. They are probably dirty. Just pull each one out, and bang it on the side of the trash can. A lot of unseen dust will break loose and clear the filter for now. You might think about buying new, clean filters.
