    Replacing my 6 year old windtunnel air… idk how one reviewer thought it was loud; it’s so quiet, much like my old one was 6 years ago…
    I have 4 kids, and we just got a hobby farm. Which means tons of dust, dirt, and gravel gets dragged into the house. And we’re putting in drain tile, so concrete dust added to it. And high pile carpet in the entrance… just tried it out, and I’m in love! I have no idea how I’m gonna use all those attachments; I don’t even know what many of them are even for! Nothing basic about this! Now, my kids are excite about cleaning the room up so they can vacuum! Total win!
    Update:
    My old vacuum is working again; mauve it just needed a vacation… but I’m still loving this one! The old one is still louder than it used to be and doesn’t have much weight, which was perfect at the time, but not so great for high pile carpet. The more I use it, the more I love it!

    I just received the machine yesterday and tried it out right away. It’s heavier than anticipated and a bit awkward to use. I’ve been using the Dyson Animal canister vac for a few years so the “pivoting” motion on this Hoover model is weird, like the whole thing is top heavy and I felt like I was fighting to keep the thing erect while vacuuming. It did pick up a lot of dirt and hair the Dyson left behind, which is a positive. Actually, it was kind of disturbing with the amount of hair and grime the Dyson left behind – it looked like I hadn’t vacuumed in several months.

    I do have Hoover’s hard floor scrubber and carpet shampooer and both of those machines are lighter and easier to use than this vacuum. I’m sure there’s a learning curve, but as long as it’s cleaning up the floors pretty well, that’s all that matters.
