paulj0557-vacuum cleaner expert need help to clarify doubt about: : How do I “stupidly ask”, Would you buy a book on vaccuum cleaner History and performance? Please no filth,Ok?
Nobody will answer questions about mundane stuff unless it’s asked in a clever way. I’m clever enough, but when it comes to my own field, I’m a total nerd.
The Hoover windtunnel’s design is absolutely a much better design than the Dyson, but both pale in comparison to the simple suction and agitation that comes from AIRFLOW vacuums such as the older Hoover‘s and Eureka’s. It’s a fact!
Now as far as isolating the dirt from the air- if you vacuum regularly with almost any vacuum ( avoid Hepa filters, unless they are on a Rainbow …though personally the best made and the best performing vacuum cleaner is the Rainbow D4, which has NO filters!) Yes, this Rainbow is built like a piece of $ 50,000 government electrical equipment. I don’t know what happened when they made the Rainbow E. They gave it a new look, but the motor is 3 times SMALLER than that beast of a motor on the D4
Anyway, really the best upright vacuum is the Eureka Vibragroomer. Get the aluminum chassis model with a the Vibragroomer roller. It beats em’ all!
Vacuum cleaners are very misunderstood. I AM that expert that really knows more than even consumer reports.

I wouldn’t pay to buy a book on it..I would just look it up on the internet. That person would have to be and authority on all vaccums and i don’t think that’s possible. I hate all these new vaccums coming out that require all these fancy filters…give me a plain old Eureka or Hoover.

What do you think? Answer below!

  1. Probably not, it’s not a machine I’m all that excited about. I use them, clean them , and unclog them. and the relationship ends there.

  2. yes, I have had to do so because my son has asthma and allergies. I wanted an environmentally safe and affective vacuum that would not put pollution back into the air in my house and that would not make the dirt sink deeper into the carpet. I also have a functional cerebral palsy daughter that loves the carpet and may put food into her mouth that she dropped. I had to make sure that the steam cleaner and vacuum I purchased was compliant with all my needs.

  3. You might try, “Have you ever wondered the evolution of household items we take for granted today. Such as how did the closer hanger evolve from a nail on the wall to how a stick with a few straws tied to the end became a whole different animal that sucks dirt and debris off of surfaces?”

  4. You would find a niche audience if you did an informative book. I was factory trained to repair Hoovers for resale. I don’t have any special material that could help you. You can email me if you wish.

  5. vacuum cleaners suck or they don’t . The company soon will go out of business. Best place to check for performance is “Consumer Reports:”

  6. Consumer reports said Hoover wind tunnel was the best buy. I tried it out. The machine lasted less then a year and did a terrible job.
